PART 2: THE YOUNG MECHANIC FOUND A TINY ROBOT IN AN ABANDONED LAB… THEN IT SAID HER NAME

PART 1

A wrench slipped from her hand.

The sound echoed through the abandoned laboratory.

Dust covered every surface.

Broken computers.

Rusty workbenches.

Forgotten machines.

The young mechanic had spent weeks exploring the building.

Most people thought it was junk.

She thought it was treasure.

Then she noticed something strange.

A small metal box hidden beneath an old desk.

She pulled it out.

The lock had already rusted away.

Slowly…

She opened it.

Inside sat a tiny robot.

No bigger than her hand.

Its metal shell was scratched.

Its eyes were dark.

Dead.

The girl smiled.

“You’re pretty cute.”

She placed it on the workbench.

Then she noticed a symbol engraved on its chest.

A symbol she had seen before.

On her mother’s old notebook.

The same notebook nobody had touched since her mother disappeared twelve years earlier.

The girl’s hands began to shake.

She pressed a small button on the robot.

Nothing happened.

Then suddenly—

Its eyes lit up.

Blue.

Bright.

Alive.

The robot slowly turned its head.

Looked directly at her.

And said:

“Hello, Emma.”

The girl froze.

Because she had never told it her name.

PART 2

The laboratory became silent.

Emma stepped backward.

The robot continued staring at her.

Its voice sounded old.

Damaged.

But familiar.

Then a hidden compartment opened in its chest.

A holographic recording appeared.

The image flickered.

And Emma stopped breathing.

Because the woman standing in the recording was her mother.

Exactly as she remembered her.

The robot spoke again.

“Message scheduled for Emma’s eighteenth birthday.”

Tears filled her eyes.

Her mother smiled from the recording.

Then said:

“If you’re seeing this… it means the robot finally found you.”

Suddenly the laboratory lights switched on by themselves.

Machines around the room began waking up.

One by one.

And something hidden beneath the floor started moving.
