The ballroom doors slammed open.
A young girl ran inside.

Looking for her mother.

“No. Both of you leave.”
The crowd watched.
The little girl squeezed her mother’s hand.

“Mom… did I do something wrong?”
The room became uncomfortable.
The mother fought back tears.
“No, sweetheart.”
But the wealthy woman pointed toward the exit.
“You’re done here.”

Pulled out an old envelope.
The socialite laughed.
“What now?”

He looked confused.
