PART 2 A poor little girl sang in the subway… and a billionaire stopped all the trains

The underground station buzzed with noise. People hurried home without looking up.

By the wall stood a little girl about eight years old in an old coat, singing softly. In front of her lay a cardboard box with two coins inside.

People walked past her.

Someone smirked.

“Find her a school, not a stage.”

The girl kept singing.

At that moment, a tall man in an expensive suit entered the platform with security guards.

He took a few steps…

And suddenly stopped.

His face changed.

He listened to the song as if he had heard a ghost.

The train was already arriving, but the man raised his hand.

“Stop the train!”

Everyone gasped.

He walked up to the girl.

“Who taught you that song?”

She answered nervously:

“My mom. She sings it every evening.”

The man began to tremble.

It was a lullaby that once had been known only by his missing family.

“Where is your mother?” he asked.

The girl pointed to a bench.

A woman was sitting there with her head lowered.

The man stepped closer… and froze.

“Lena?..”

The woman looked up and burst into tears.

It was the wife of his late brother. Everyone had believed they were dead after a fire many years ago.

“We survived… but lost everything.”

The billionaire knelt before the girl.

“So… you are my niece.”

People in the station began filming videos.

He took off his coat and placed it over the girl’s shoulders.

“Today the subway stopped not because of me.”

He smiled through tears.

“Because of you.”
