PART 1
The marble floor echoed beneath worn-out shoes.
Conversations stopped.
Guests turned their heads.
An elderly woman had just entered the luxury hotel lobby holding a little girl’s hand.
Their clothes were old.
Their bags were nearly falling apart.
A few guests exchanged uncomfortable looks.
One employee stepped forward.
“Ma’am, this area is reserved for guests.”
The old woman nodded politely.
But didn’t leave.
Instead, she reached into her coat.
And pulled out a silver necklace.
The employee laughed.
“That won’t help.”
Then someone else saw it.
A wealthy CEO crossing the lobby.
His smile vanished instantly.
Because he recognized the necklace.
It belonged to a woman who had disappeared seventeen years earlier.
The little girl looked up at him.
And quietly said:
“My mom told us to find you.”
The CEO froze.
Because the woman she was talking about was supposed to be dead.

PART 2
The lobby fell silent.
The CEO stared at the necklace.
His hands trembled.
The old woman slowly opened the pendant.
Inside was a tiny photograph.
The CEO nearly dropped it.
Because it showed him standing beside the missing woman.
Years ago.
Then he noticed writing hidden behind the photo.
A message.
Just one sentence.
“If my daughter reaches you first, don’t trust the board.”
The CEO’s face lost all color.
Because the board of directors was currently meeting upstairs.
Then the little girl pulled a folded envelope from her pocket.
And the name written on it belonged to someone sitting in that meeting.
