PART 2: THE POOR BOY INTERRUPTED THE CHARITY AUCTION… THEN EXPOSED THE MISSING PAGE

PART 1

The auction hammer struck the stage.

Applause filled the ballroom.

A famous historical diary sat inside a glass case.

Collectors had traveled from around the world to bid.

The opening bid reached one million dollars.

Then a voice came from the back.

“Page thirty-two is missing.”

The room laughed.

A poor boy stood beside the catering tables.

Holding a tray.

The auctioneer smiled.

“Excuse me?”

The boy pointed at the diary.

“There’s a missing page.”

More laughter.

The crowd loved it.

The boy should have looked embarrassed.

Instead he looked worried.

The auctioneer crossed his arms.

“And how would you know that?”

The boy stared at the diary.

Then answered:

“Because the next sentence doesn’t make sense without it.”

The laughter stopped.

The owner of the diary suddenly looked nervous.

PART 2

The room became silent.

The boy walked toward the display case.

People moved aside.

The auctioneer opened the diary.

Turned the pages.

Then froze.

There was a gap.

Tiny.

Almost invisible.

The boy pointed.

“Right there.”

The crowd leaned forward.

Phones appeared.

The owner looked pale.

Then the boy said something even worse.

“The missing page wasn’t lost.”

Silence.

The owner swallowed.

“What do you mean?”

The boy looked directly at him.

“It was removed.”

And for the first time that night…

The owner looked afraid.
