PART 2: THE LITTLE GIRL RAN ACROSS THE BALLROOM… THEN SHE CALLED THE STRANGER “DAD”

PART 1

A champagne glass froze halfway to a guest’s lips.

Every head in the ballroom turned.

A little girl in a black dress had suddenly broken away from the crowd.

She was running.

Fast.

Straight toward a man standing alone near the stage.

The man looked confused.

He had never seen her before.

At least… he didn’t think he had.

The guests watched nervously.

The girl ignored everyone.

Ignored the music.

Ignored the people calling her name.

Then she stopped directly in front of him.

The ballroom fell silent.

The man smiled awkwardly.

“Do I know you?”

The little girl stared into his eyes.

Then threw her arms around him.

And whispered:

“Daddy.”

The man’s smile vanished.

Gasps echoed across the room.

A woman dropped her purse.

Another guest covered her mouth.

The man slowly stepped backward.

His face had gone completely pale.

“Who told you to say that?”

The little girl reached into her pocket.

Pulled out a folded photograph.

And handed it to him.

The moment he saw it…

His hands started shaking.

Because the woman standing beside him in the picture had disappeared twelve years ago.

PART 2

The man’s breathing became uneven.

He stared at the photograph.

Again.

And again.

There was no mistake.

It was her.

The woman he had spent twelve years searching for.

The little girl pointed to the back of the photo.

A message was written there.

The man’s hands trembled as he read it.

“If she finds you first… don’t trust anyone in this room.”

The ballroom suddenly felt colder.

The man looked around.

Guests were staring.

Watching.

Listening.

Then the little girl tugged on his sleeve.

“Daddy…”

He froze.

The girl pointed toward a woman standing near the exit.

A woman who had quietly slipped into the ballroom moments earlier.

The man’s heart nearly stopped.

Because he recognized her instantly.

And according to every official record…

She was supposed to be dead.
